RG 21 - Edmund C. Leonard (1891-1954)
Biography

Edmund C. Leonard (1891-1954) was born in Bostont Massachusetts. After graduation from Oberlin College in 1914 he worked for a time in the Oberlin Print Shop, but he was in business in Chicago when he enlisted during World War I. Following this war he was in the printing business and also worked as a bond salesman. Leonard served in the air corps in both World Wars and was awarded the silver star, the bronze star, and the purple heart. His rank in World War II was that of Lieutenant Colonel. After World War II service his occupation was that of an insurance broker. His wife was Grace Larson Leonard, a 1913 graduate of the Oberlin Kindergarten Training School.
