Leather-bound copy (first edition) and a soft-bound copy (second edition) of the publication “Original Selected Works of Paul Joseph Appell,” 1981 (105 pages). Includes correspondence between Leonard P. Market and Robert Jenkins (Deferred Gift Program, Oberlin College), 1981-82, regarding the placement of the publication (first and second editions) at Oberlin College.

Christy, Mary H., 1898
Manuscript and newspaper clipping of the paper "Life and Labors of Rev.
Alvan Coe and his Wife, Sarah Smith" read by Mary H. Christy
(enr. 1858-60) at the Vernon, Ohio, Centennial. Rev. Alvan Coe
(1783-1854)
was one of the first
ministers in Northern Ohio, and he and his wife Sarah Smith Coe
(1791-1883) did missionary work among the Native Americans.
Churchill, Alfred Vance, 1950-51 (folders 1-4)
Manuscript draft (carbon copies) and sixteen (of seventeen)
published installments of "Midwestern," an account
of the story of the early years of Oberlin Colony and Oberlin
College by Alfred Vance Churchill (h. 1898, 1864-1949), son
of Charles Henry Churchill, Professor of Physics at Oberlin. Published
installments appeared in 1950-51 issues of the Northwest
Ohio Quarterly, published by the
Historical Society of Northwestern Ohio. [Acc. 30]

Huntley, Katharine Burgner, 1980
The Company of Heaven A Love Story. An Oberlin resident [and
graduate of O.C., 1924], she tells of her Oberlin world during
roughly the
first quarter
of the
century. Daughter of Louis Burgner, a local businessman, she writes
of her family's background, friends, neighbors and Oberlin characters
known
to her.
A charming
story, mainly about non-College people and places. 2 volumes, 1
photocopy. Acc. 1981/3.
