REVISED STANDARD VERSION BIBLE COMMITTEE

(RECORDS, 1929-75)

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The records consist of correspondence between members and with publishers and others, drafts and revisions, annual reports, minutes of meetings, publicity and the like. For information about the location of the records themselves, or concerning work after 1975 on an over-all revision to be published in the 1980s, inquire at the headquarters of the committee.

PROVENANCE:

The files of the Committee, 1929-75, were microfilmed in 1975 at Oberlin on 22 rolls of microfilm. The records in the O.C. Archives consist of the microfilm about which we have brief information concerning roll contents. An index to the microfilm is available in the case file (30/128). Other copies of the film are at Yale University, Princeton Divinity School, and the Library of Congress.

Additional information about the work of the Committee is available.

Note: Entry taken from William E. Bigglestone's unpublished "[preliminary] Guide to the Oberlin College Archives," which was prepared as individual entry sheets in a three-ring binder during the early 1980s.
