Issues of the Journal
of the Council for Museum Anthropology
National Association
for the Practice of Anthropology (NAPA) Bulletins. Topics show professionals
working in all four branches of anthropology, highlighting the path that
these anthropologist have taken since their undergraduate days. Some of
the broad topics are Practitioners in the Private Sector; Policy, Human
Rights, and Advocacy Practitioners; Government, Human Services, and Museum
Practitioners; International Development Practitioners; and they also
have a section on Academically Centered Practitioners. These 29 profiles
are intended to help "young people plan career paths". Come
and check it out.

Museum -- Explore collections of Yale's Peabody Museum. Includes
a searchable image library of Mesoamerican objects.
World
Heritage Information Network -- WHIN is a clearinghouse for information
about World Heritage sites. These natural and/or cultural sites have
been identified as being of "outstanding universal value"
and inscribed on the World
Heritage List by the Intergovernmental World Heritage Committee,
following nomination by national governments.
Organization
of World Heritage Cities -- (OWHC) was founded on September 8, 1993
in Fez, Morocco. As of December 31, 1995, the organization was made
up of 123 cities in which are located sites included on the UNESCO World
Heritage List. An international non-profit non-governmental organization,
the Organization of World Heritage Cities was created to assist member
cities adapt and improve their management methods in relation to the
specific requirements of having a site inscribed on the UNESCO World
Heritage List.
National
Park Service World Heritage Sites in the United States -- This Home
Page is a joint effort between the United States Department of the Interior,
National Park Service (NPS) and the
United States Committee, International Council on Monuments and Sites
(US/ICOMOS). Throughout
the world, national ICOMOS committees
work to support the World Heritage Convention. In the United States,
the NPS serves as chief steward of the nation's natural and cultural
patrimony.
Inernational
Council on Monuments and Sites: ICOMOS -- ICOMOS is an international
organization of professionals dedicated to the conservation of the world's
historic monuments and sites. Through National and International Scientific
committees, symposia, and other meetings, ICOMOS provides a forum for
professional dialogue and a vehicle for the collection, evaluation,
and dissemination of information on conservation principles, techniques,
and policies. This web server is designed to further this exchange and
stimulate increased awareness of the world's cultural heritage at all
levels.
US
National Committee of ICOMOS -- The U.S. National Committee of the
International Council on Monuments
and Sites (US/ICOMOS) fosters heritage conservation and historic
preservation at the national and international levels through education
and training, international exchange of people and information, technical
assistance, documentation, advocacy and other activities consistent
with the goals of ICOMOS and through collaboration with other organizations.
US/ICOMOS membership includes professionals, practitioners, supporters
and organizations committed to the protection, preservation and conservation
of the world's cultural heritage. US/ICOMOS is the U.S. National Committee
of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the international
non-governmental organization dedicated to the preservation and conservation
of the world's cultural heritage.
