The Museum Friends group was founded in 1938. More than
70 years later, membership dues still provide crucial support for a variety of exhibitions and programs that offer enjoyment and encourage a greater appreciation and understanding of
art through direct study of original works.
The Museum Friends consist of Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music faculty, staff, alumni, students, area residents, and other friends of the arts. The Friends host opening receptions and special events to spread good will and enhance public awareness of art at the AMAM.
Membership benefits include invitations to these events, as well as a subscription to a bi-annual newsletter, and discounts on museum publications. Most importantly, however, the Friends help us maintain the high quality and diversity of our programming and assure our active and vital educational presence within the local community and for the wider public. Your contribution to the Museum Friends also counts as a gift to the Oberlin Fund. Please join today.
