Oberlin Lambda Alumni was officially chartered by the Alumni Association of Oberlin College in 1989 as its first self-defined Affiliate Group. It is one of the oldest and largest such recognized groups in the United States. The organization's purpose is to facilitate the relationship between Oberlin College and its lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender alumni and to foster visibility of and advocacy for LGBT people in the College and alumni communities.
JOIN NOW! Your membership will include a semi-annual newsletter, periodic emails of interest, information on special events, and an invitation to our bi-annual conference at Oberlin. Over 1200 alumni have joined, making OLA the largest alumni affiliate group in existence!
INTERACTIVE ARCHIVE! The Oberlin College LGBT Community History Project is an interactive archive created to record, preserve, and make available Oberlin College's LGBT history. Alumni and students are encouraged to post their stories and conduct additional research to enrich and expand the project. Visit the site by clicking here.
