Students at Oberlin have access to superior library resources, with one of the largest and finest undergraduate collections in the nation.  The Main Library, housed in Mudd Center, bustles with activity and its newly opened Academic Commons fosters academic community on campus. The Science Library is central to the new science complex; its services promote scientific literacy among majors and non-majors. The Clarence Ward Art Library is integrated within the studio art/art history/art museum complex, serving the entire student body. The Conservatory Library holds not only books and periodicals, but also musical scores and sound recordings. All four libraries offer strong collections, extensive electronic access to databases, and excellent reference staff.
