Financial Aid
Oberlin's financial aid policy is simple: We meet the full demonstrated financial need of every admitted student through a combination of grants, scholarships, student loans, and income earned from on-campus jobs. Each year, about two thirds of all students receive some form of need-based financial assistance.
Scholarships
Oberlin sponsors a limited number of scholarship awards based on academic and artistic achievement. All prospective students are automatically considered for different types of merit-based scholarships during the admissions process. You may receive a merit-based award even if you don’t qualify for aid based on financial need.
Financial Aid for International Students
Oberlin is among the few American colleges and universities that offer substantial financial aid awards to international students. The process of applying for financial aid is different for international students than for domestic students.
