How to find a doctor or provider by Specialty using the CIGNA web site

 

• Go to http://www.cigna.com/
• Located on the left side of the main page is a link for Provider Directory
• Clink on the Provider Directory link
• On the provider directory main page the system will default to Physician – do not change
• Do not enter in a name if only looking for a general list of providers
• Enter in your zip code - do not enter in the city and state
• The system defaults to an area of 25 miles, you can change this accordingly
• Click Continue
• Select “Open Access Plus” (OAP)”
• In the next block…
• If you know the type of Specialist you need to clink on the arrow next to Specialist and scroll down to find the type of provider you need.
• The system will default to No Preference for both Physician Gender and Language spoken – based on your preference you may change this
• Click Continue
• If the doctor is part of the system it will show their name and address. The list can be printed or saved as a PDF file

All files downloaded and viewed on the CIGNA web site will require the use of Adobe Acrobat software. You can download Adobe Acrobat from the Information Technology Site of the Oberlin College web page.
