How to find a doctor or provider by name using the CIGNA web site

 

• Go to http://www.cigna.com/
• Located on the left side of the main page is a link for Provider Directory
• Clink on the Provider Directory link
• On the provider directory main page the system will default to Physician – do not change
• If you Search by name it MUST be spelled correctly and use only the last name
• Enter in your zip code - do not enter in the city and state
• The system defaults to an area of 25 miles, you can change this accordingly
• Click Continue
• Select “Open Access Plus” (OAP)”
• In the next block…
• The system will default to Specialist – do not change. Just because the doctor may be your primary care physician they be listed with CIGNA as something else
• The system will default to No Preference for both Physician Gender and Language spoken – do not change
• Click Continue
• If the doctor is part of the system it will show their name and address. The list can be printed or saved as a PDF file

All files downloaded and viewed on the CIGNA web site will require the use of Adobe Acrobat software. You can download Adobe Acrobat from the Information Technology Site of the Oberlin College web page.
