Care Benefits
Our Third Party Administrator is CIGNA, one of the nation's largest
health care providers. You may access the online CIGNA Provider
Directory through http://www.cigna.com.
If you have
not done so, go to CIGNA’s web site and set up MyCIGNA.com. Employees
may design the site to meet their needs as to the information displayed.
Oberlin College will be using CIGNA's OAP provider panel. Directions
for searching for a provider by name or directions
for searching for a provider by specialty area.
You may also
call CIGNA using this phone tree,
which provides basic information through an easy touch-tone menu
by calling a toll-free phone number. The CIGNA phone tree provides
employees and their dependants quicker response to their questions
if used properly. Using the phone tree will allow you to speak to
a live CIGNA representative in a timely manner. The downloadable
CIGNA customer phone tree is a good reference tool to have at home
to help you navigate CIGNA’s customer service system.
By
calling 800-CIGNA24 (800-244-6224) you are able to get your pharmacy,
medical, and mental health questions answered. You can also get
your medical procedures precertified. As you work the phone tree
please remember that you do not need to wait for the prompts. Using
the phone numbers listed on the bottom left of the phone tree information
page will allow you to get to those areas quickly. You may also
go to Cigna's
behavioral health page.
CIGNA’s
automated system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
and customer service is staffed live 9 am to 7 pm Monday through
Friday, Eastern Standard Time. Although you may call at a time convenient
for you, 10 Customer Service Specialists for the Oberlin College
health plan staff the aforementioned hours. Please follow the phone
tree and make sure to enter your SS# when prompted.
The
Tel-Drug automated pharmacy reorder system is available 24
hours, seven days a week and is staffed live 8 am to 11 pm Monday
through Friday and 9 am to 6 pm on Saturdays. You must have a credit
card available to use this service.
For those employees on the Oberlin College B-Plan, your Tel-Drug
orders will need to be reordered by phone. The web site is not programmed
to recognize the atypical benefits of the B-Plan.

premium rates for Plan-A as a percentage of salary effective January
1, 2003 are:
