The CIGNA standard coverage for MAMMOGRAMS has not changed.
On Monday, November 16, 2009, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force announced its revised recommendations regarding screening mammography for women. The decision about when to have a mammography screening is an individual decision between a woman and her doctor, based on an individual's specific circumstances and medical history. The current coverage policy provides for coverage of screening mamography beginning at age 40 (or as young as 25 if a woman is in a high-risk category), and continues to remain in effect.
CIGNA's current Coverage Policy is publicly available on their website at the link below in the "medical index" under "mammography."

CIGNA is introducing new Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
Cigna will be rolling out later this year a simplified EOB statement to employees when a medical claim is processed. The new EOBs will start showing up sometime in October. Some of the changes include:
-- All key information summarized on the first page.
-- Information that is redundant or not directly related to the claim will be removed, reducing clutter.
-- Individuals receiving more care will be able to easily identify one claim from another as each has its own summary page.
-- Enhanced viewing of EOBs on MyCIGNA.com.
-- Given the option to cease paper EOBs.
